Ruco Chan denies artistes were negligent during TVB Gala

24 Nov – Ruco Chan recently dismissed the allegations that TVB artistes were being negligent of their health and safety when they appeared without masks at the recent 53rd TVB Anniversary Gala.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who spoke to the media at a charity sale in TVB City recently, stated that in contrast to what netizens thought about the whole issue, TVB artistes were actually very concerned and wary of the situation, and that the company had imposed strict measure to ensure everyone's safety.

"Every artiste went through the disinfection area before entering the studio. It was the company's 53rd celebration after all. I even put a mask on as soon as I went off the stage. We didn't even have any spectators on that day. Everybody was very careful," he said.

As for reports that there was a TVB employee that had been tested positive for COVID-19, Ruco said that he is not too worried about it, as he has experienced the worse of the pandemic before.

"We still went to film dramas at the time. As long as sufficient cleaning and pandemic prevention measures were taken, there should be no issue," he said.
