'You can be made to feel small': What life can be like for new royal Meghan Markle

Watch the full interview with royal experts Liz Brewer and Victoria Howard on episode four of Yahoo UK’s brand new show ‘The Royal Box’, available to stream here from Friday 20 July.

The Duchess of Sussex‘s new family could be making her “feel small”.

That’s according to royal expert, Liz Brewer, who spoke about how the palace is addressing Meghan’s protocol mis-steps.

“You will be told if you’ve done something wrong,” Brewer tells Yahoo UK in episode four of ‘The Royal Box’.

Since marrying into the royal family, the Duchess‘ every move has been scrutinised.

The 36-year-old has been the subject of countless reports of broken royal protocol, from the colour of her nail varnish or her public displays of affection with Prince Harry.

Brewer – who gives Ivana Trump etiquette lessons and has met the Queen on numerous occasions – says that as a new royal, “you’re wanting to do things right, you’re wanting to get approval”.

“It can be fairly daunting because you’re worried that you’re going to make a mistake,” she explains.

“It can be quite lonely being a member of the royal family.”
