Royal baby fans, there might be chance to celebrate a new member of the family in 2020.

Bookies have reportedly slashed the odds of Zara and Mike Tindall announcing another baby this year, adding a third child to their brood.

Zara, the Queen’s oldest granddaughter, is mother to Mia Grace, six, and Lena Elizabeth, one.

According to mybettingsites.co.uk, some betting companies have odds of her announcing a third child is on the way as short as 2/1.

A spokesman for the site told told Tatler: “Judging by the latest odds, a third baby for Mike and Zara seem to be on the horizon and from punters point of view, it seems to be accurate.

“Although it may come as a surprise for many, as Zara hasn’t been subject to the same pregnancy speculations as the other royals over the years, in these situations it’s rarely smoke without fire…and perhaps someone knows something we don’t.”

Zara and her husband Mike, a former England rugby player, have suffered two miscarriages which she spoke about in an interview in 2018.

The first was in 2016, and was announced a month after she made a pregnancy announcement.

She said: “I had a miscarriage in 2016 and afterwards loads of people wrote to me and Mike to say they’d been through the same thing. In our case, it was something that was really rare; it was nature saying, ‘This one’s not right.’ For me, the worst bit was that we had to tell everyone — everyone knew.”

In the interview with The Times, she added: “I had to go through having the baby because it was so far along. I then had another miscarriage really early on.”

Mike, 41, confessed he is ready to send his daughter Mia back to school when they reopen after lockdown, saying it had been “frustrating” at home.

He told The Daily Telegraph: “Mia enjoyed it the first week because it was different being around mum and dad all the time.

“But then ultimately it's the same people who are telling her off or telling her what to do and I think she gets bored of that.”
