Royal Ascot 'feel good' dance video goes viral

Five days into Royal Ascot, you might expect the enthusiasm of the staff to be wavering.

But, Simon Rogan’s team in the Green Yard Restaurant have set the tone of the day with a viral video of them dancing to Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now and we are all on board with their mood.

The video starts with around 30 members of staff facing the camera, doing a synchronised dance.

The tent quickly turns to hilarious chaos, though, as they all start dancing as if no one is watching.

There were plenty of people watching, though.

The dance was viewed thousands of people within the first hour and is racking up more and more shares.

This year’s hat collection will have to share the limelight.

The UK’s weather has left a lot to be desired this summer, but now, with the sun out and the music playing, there’s no wonder people are feeling this performance.

One person shared a cocktail glass emoji and wrote: “Would love some of what they’re on.”

Others took the opportunity to praise them for how hard they must have worked throughout the five day event.

“Great to see them enjoying themselves. I'm sure they've worked their socks off.” One said.

“You should be so proud of all the staff at Ascot. They are simply the best from start to finish, polite, efficient, and friendly. Everyone is so charming. I am so sad that it is over for another year. LIKE. NOWHERE. ELSE.” Another joined in.

Royal Ascot draws to a close today, but there have been plenty of highlights from 2019’s event.
