Rose McGowan has struck out at her former Charmed co-star Alyssa Milano as the two engaged in an ugly Twitter spat.
The war of words began when McGowan blasted America's Democratic party on social media on Thursday, penning: “What have the Democrats done to solve ANYTHING? Help the poor? No. Help black & brown people? No. Stop police brutality? No. Help children? No."
Blaming the party's lack of accomplishments, she added: "You have achieved nothing. NOTHING. Why did people vote Trump? Because of you motherf**kers.”
Milano responded with more than 20 tweets of examples, in chronological order, of the party’s achievements. She also called McGowan, who accused Harvey Weinstein of rape and became one of the most prominent voices of the Me Too movement, a 'fraud'.
“Rose and anyone bleating the same 'dEmOcRaTs DoNt HeLp PeOpLe' nonsense, your lies are going to hurt people less privileged than you," she posted.
"It’s the kind of thing an ACTUAL fraud would do," Milano snapped, pointing out: "Thousands of people are dying a day but you go on with your hyperbolic attention seeking tweets.”
Following the comments, McGowan unleashed a tirade of personal insults dating back to the pair's time on the ’90s TV drama, insisting: “You threw a fit in front of the crew, yelling, ‘They don’t pay me enough to do this s**t!’ Appalling behavior on the daily. I cried every time we got renewed because you made that set toxic AF. Now, get off my coattails you f**king fraud.”
However, as the hashtag 'AlyssaMilanoIsALie' quickly gained momentum on Twitter, the star remained unfazed, posting: “Do you think we can get AlyssaMilanoIsALie to trend number 1 before I fall asleep? Everyone saying sweet things — I see you. Thank you."
She concluded: "Everyone saying horrible things — I see you. F**k off. Hurt people hurt people. Empowered people empower people. Loved people love people.”
