Matt Chernis, head of programming at Apple TV+, added: "Over the course of three enthralling seasons of Physical, we have been honoured to work with Annie Weisman and Tomorrow Studios to bring Sheila Rubin's journey of transformation and personal empowerment to the screen through Rose Byrne's fearless, moving, and often very funny, portrayal.

Set in 1980s San Diego, Physical stars Byrne as Sheila Rubin, a devoted but secretly tortured housewife who prioritises her family's needs and wants over her own. That is until she finds a release through the unlikeliest of ways: aerobics.
Rory Scovel will return as Sheila's husband Danny in season three, while Zooey Deschanel's character Kelly has been promoted to a series regular.
The third and final season of Physical will be available to stream on Apple TV+ from August 2.
