For those who want to work out while travelling this summer, or use their vacation to kick-start a new regime, many hotels are now offering a variety of fitness classes to both guests and visitors, offering not just a holiday but also health and wellbeing. Here we round up some of our favorites and some of the more unusual fitness classes taking place this summer.

Wellness Tree House by Bodyism at Amilla Fushi

London-based health and wellness experts Bodyism's latest hotel partnership sees the creation of the Wellness Tree House by Bodyism at the Amilla Fushi in the luxurious Maldives.

Known for their Clean and Lean program, which encourages a diet of nourishing foods and a lifestyle of regular exercise and relaxation for a healthy body and mind, clients will be able to immerse themselves in Bodyism's Clean and Lean lifestyle during their stay at the one-bedroom Wellness Tree House. Guests can enjoy the luxury and secluded accommodation, set 12 meters above ground among island foliage, complete with a spa, fitness and healthy eating experience for total health and wellness whilst away.

Guests will be able to enjoy a personal wellness consultation upon arrival, daily spa treatments, classes of movement, yoga and meditation, as well as time to relax enjoy the room's infinity pool looking out over the tree canopy so you leave feel energized and refreshed from your summer break.

Rooftop hula hooping classes at the Berkeley

Back again by popular demand, the Berkeley Health Club & Spa in London will once again be offering rooftop hula-hooping masterclasses for a fun way to keep fit this summer.

The luxury Knightsbridge hotel has partnered with hula-hoop fitness experts HulaFit® to host weekly 60-minute masterclasses for up to four hula-hoopers in the rooftop spa through September 28, 2016. And after all that hard work, burning up to 600 calories a class, hula-hoopers can enjoy a relaxing dip in the Berkeley's pool taking in incredible views of Hyde Park and Knightsbridge.

And the workout doesn't stop there: the one-of-a-kind Berkeley hula-hoops used in class can also be taken home to continue your fitness throughout the summer.

Yoga at Kimpton Hotels

Kimpton Hotels are offering a variety of yoga classes across their US hotels this summer, including rooftop yoga, full moon yoga, and thug yoga.

For those who want to take their yoga to new heights while making the most of the balmy summer evenings head to Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona, to enjoy a rooftop yoga series in partnership with Sutra Studio to the backdrop of DJ tunes and candlelight.

The Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel in Miami, Florida, and the Kimpton RiverPlace Hotel in Portland, Oregon, will both be offering "full moon yoga." Whether by the sand or by the water, both classes will give you a chance to practice in the beautiful moonlit surroundings and relax in nature.

Guests looking for something a little more energizing can head to the Kimpton Sky Hotel in Aspen, Colorado for Thug Yoga every Saturday morning during the summer, combining yoga, hip-hop music and even beer from Aspen Brewing Company on the hotel's pool deck.
