Rocco Nacino urges people to be honest about their travel history

26 Mar – Rocco Nacino is urging everybody to be honest about their whereabouts and other information when speaking to health workers.

As reported on GMA News, the actor who is also a registered nurse, recently took to social media to relay the message, following news that there are people who are being dishonest about their travel history and medical condition when asked by medical frontliners during coronavirus screening.

"Do not lie, Kapuso. Today, we need to unite to combat the COVID-19 threat so the Department of Health encourages all patients to disclose all information to our health workers," said Nacino in his video message.

Reminding patients the importance of being honest, he stressed, "Let's not hide our activities, especially when it comes to travel and our exposure to COVID-19 because it is so important to prevent our doctors, nurses, and other frontline health workers from contamination."

The actor stated that one's honesty will not only save one's life, but also health workers and other patients, who need total care to recover from the virus.

It was recently reported that three doctors - cardiologist Israel Bactol from the Philippine Heart Center, anaesthesiologist Gregorio Macasaet III of Manila Doctors Hospital and an oncologist at the San Juan de Dios Hospital succumbed to the disease in the last two days while in the line of duty, with at least ten other medical frontliners who are now fighting for their lives.
