Robin Padilla confirms Kylie-Aljur's split
9 Jul – After previous speculations about Kylie Padilla and Aljur Abrenica's marriage, the former's father and actor Robin Padilla recently confirmed that the couple have already split up.
As reported on ABS-CBN News, the actor shared about Kylie and Aljur's marriage status in an interview on Ogie Diaz's YouTube Channel, saying that it was Kylie who decided to end the relationship.
According to the action star, it was a third party that caused it all, something that he understands as a man despite his daughter thinking otherwise.
"It's not impossible to happen especially since we're in showbiz," he said.
However, Robin stated that he will not intervene in the matter, stressing that only the two of them could fix it.
"I just told them to stop posting on social media. It's not good for their children," he added.
Kylie and Aljur first started dating in 2011, though the two ended their relationship in 2014 amid rumours of Aljur's affair with another actress. The couple reunited in 2016 and welcomed their first child the following year.
The two tied the knot in December 2018, with Kylie giving birth to their second child in 2019. However, the couple sparked rumours of marital woes earlier this year after Kylie posted several cryptic messages on social media.
