18 Aug – After hearing news of the death of an elderly man from COVID-19, Robert Mak recently took to social media to encourage the elderly to take good care of their health.
As reported on Mingpao, the 61-year-old actor, who himself recovered from the coronavirus after two weeks of hospitalisation, acknowledged that a lot of people from the elderly community are feeling unhappy and concerned about the news, and feel demotivated because of it.
"But in case that they contract this disease, I hope that the elderly would not be discouraged, and to get medical treatment in time so that you can recover. I believe that the medical frontliners will support you with the best of their ability," he said.
On the other hand, good friend Lau Siu Kwan recently shared updates about his health, saying that he is still recuperating after being discharged from hospital free from COVID-19.
Lau also revealed that he has been practising Qigong every day, and that he had lost a lot of weight and muscle mass due to the effect of the medication he had taken.
