It looks as though Iron Man himself wants another solo movie…

During a behind-the-scenes feature for ABC News, Robert Downey Jr. hinted that he might be interested in another ‘Iron Man’ movie.

“I feel like I could do one more,” he said.

But his team-mates Hawkeye and Black Widow won’t be doing the same.

“Marvel has rolled out a huge roster for themselves which does not include either one of us having a stand-alone,” said

Of course, ‘Iron man 4’ has been on Marvel fans wish lists for some time… but with Robert Downey Jr seeming to go off the idea, many of us thought it just wouldn’t happen. But could this change of heart mean an addition to Marvel’s already-packed roster?

We’ve already seen the ‘Inhumans’ movie pulled from Marvel’s upcoming slate… and with three currently untitled Marvel films announced for 2020, perhaps we’ll see Robert Downey Jr. suit up as Iron man once more.

But for now, he’s already set to appear in ‘Civil War’… and he’s more than ready.

“I think it’s kind of natural for familiarity to breed contempt,” he said. “You can get more ticked off with your own best friends and your closest allies than you can with perfect strangers.”

‘Captain America: Civil War’ features an all-star line-up of Marvel heroes, going head-to-head due to the Superhero Registration Act – a government bill which forces superheroes to join together under the command of a UN task force.

And on top of his ‘Civil War’ appearance, Iron man will also feature in the double-part event movie, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.

But could we eventually get ‘Iron Man 4’? For now, we’ll have to wait and see.

‘Captain America: Civil War’ heads to cinemas on 29 April 2016.
