Great news, 9-1-1 Lone Star fans! Season 3 will premiere soon, and, judging by a brand-new teaser, it looks more intense than ever. A third season was confirmed on May 17 before season 2 wrapped up, but an official premiere date wasn't known...until now.

Season 2 left fans with questions about the future of the 126. Will the team be reunited in the new season? How will Tommy (Gina Torres) adjust to life after her husband's unexpected death? Will viewers see see any more backstories from their favorite characters? Well, we won't have to wait too much longer for those answers. Fox announced that new episodes will return on January 3, 2022. The season 2 finale had the team fighting a deadly dust storm, but season 3 finds the 126 with a new battle to wage: a terrifying ice storm. The new teaser video has us on the edge of our seats!

Rob Lowe, who portrays Owen Strand on the show, shared the teaser on his Instagram feed with the caption: "Patience is rewarded. @911Lonestar is BACK January 3rd on @FoxTV." The short clip shows a child falling through the ice and T.K. Strand (Ronen Rubinstein) falling in during the rescue attempt while a grizzled Owen Strand surveys the scene.

Fans left hundreds of comments expressing their excitement. One wrote, "Well!!! YAY!
