Ritz Azul happy to have two MMFF entries

26 Nov – Ritz Azul recently admitted that she was in shock over news that two of her new films have been selected as part of the 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival.

As reported on ABS-CBN News, the actress, whose horror thriller "The Missing" and fantasy comedy, "Mang Kepweng: Ang Lihim ng Bandanang Itim" became two of the ten entries at this year's festival, stated that she was pleasantly surprised and grateful for the good news.

"It's a rare opportunity. To have one entering the MMFF is already a happy news. And of course, we are all happy that the MMFF will continue. Although we are in the midst of a pandemic, we are here to provide entertainment," she said.

In "The Missing", Azul plays a restoration architect who suffers from depression while working in a haunted house in Saga, Japan. The movie co-stars Joseph Marco and Miles Ocampo.

On the other hand, the actress plays the queen of a fantasy world called Engkandia in the aforementioned fantasy comedy co-starring Vhong Navarro and Ryan Bang.

The eight other films to be joining the MMFF this year are "Magikland", "Coming Home", "Tagpuan", "Isa Pang Bahaghari", " Suarez: The Healing Priest", "Pakboys Takusa", "The Boy Foretold by the Stars", and "Fan Girl."
