Rita Rudaini expresses concern over getting sons back to school

26 Feb - Rita Rudaini is among the many concerned mothers who are not very keen on letting their kids back to school during this pandemic as the number of COVID-19 cases has remained high.

The actress, who has two sons from her past marriage with footballer Aidil Zafuan, recently took to social media to express her worries, writing, "How to go to school? I hope that the ministry will rethink this."

"It's fine for the important ones like students who are taking exams or those who are old enough to know how to take care of themselves. Our little ones don't know any better," she added.

Rita also stressed that it is the parents that have to pay the medical bills themselves if something were to happen to their children, and reiterated that the ministry should rethink the decision.

Rita's sons, 12 year-old Airit Rayyan Rizqin and 10 year-old Airit Qaqa Arjuna will begin their classes next month.

It was last week that Education Minister Datuk Dr. Radzi Jidin announced that primary school students from Standard Three to Six will be going back to school beginning 8 March, while Standard One and Two will begin earlier on 1 March. As for international schools and private tertiary institutions, the term will begin on 8 March as well.
