Richie Jen wants Jolin Tsai in new movie
15 Mar - Actor Richie Jen revealed recently that he has been busy working on a new movie script, and that he hopes Jolin Tsai would star in.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who spoke about his new project at a charity event recently, shared that he plans to make a romance movie similar to John Carney's "Begin Again".
"It's about two people from two different places, running into each other in Hong Kong and reminded of their past," he said.
While he has yet to decide on the actors, Richie admitted that he has been writing the female character in the image of Taiwanese pop diva, Jolin Tsai.
"I will try to see if I can convince her [to star in it]," he said.
When asked if he will star in the movie as well, Richie said that he will try it if it suits him. However, for now, he hopes to direct or produce the movie.
Richie also revealed that he has been travelling all across Hong Kong, including the red light district, for inspiration.
"Hong Kong has a lot of beautiful places. I want to shoot all of them from my own perspective," he said.
