Richard Kind, The Last Martin O’Malley Supporter, Attends DNC For Stephen Colbert’s ‘Late Show’

Some Bernie Sanders supporters scarfed beans as part of a fart-in protest at the DNC in Philly, Stephen Colbert noted at the top of his final night of DNC live shows.

“Some might question this tactic, but it’s part of a long tradition of political activism,” Colbert continued, nothing it was Patrick Henry who said, “Give me liberty or pull my finger.”

But Sanders did not have the corner on disappointed delegates. Richard Kind isn’t giving up on his guy, Martin O’Malley.

“I felt it was important to come here, even though my candidate wasn’t the guy. my name’s Richard Kind, and I support Martin O’Malley for President,” Kind said in a video debuting on Colbert’s show.

He tried, without success, to find another O’Malley supporter in the convention hall.

“Miss Susan Sarandon, you don’t have a monopoly on sour grapes!” Kind shouted in frustration.

Gov. O’Malley shows up: “Listen Richard, I really appreciate your enthusiasm. I really do. But it’s time to knock it off. It’s time to get behind Hillary Clinton,” O’Malley said in a thinly veiled message to Sanders’ fans.

“Stop already and let’s be honest. This isn’t the first time we’ve had this conversation, okay? The country needs you, Richard.”

“Be for Hillary.”
