"Respeto" wins big at Cinemalaya Independent Fest

The movie bagged the most awards including Best Film and Best Supporting Actor

17 Aug - It was revealed that Alberto Monteras II's movie, "Respeto" has been named Best Film at the 2017 Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival.

As reported on ABS-CBN, Cinemalaya recently released a statement praising the movie for its "infectious, propulsive energy, and its highly convincing cast of characters and very effective ensemble acting" among others.

It also won the NETPAC Jury Prize, named the audience choice for feature film, and the movie bagged three more awards including Best Supporting Actor for Dido de la Paz.

On the other hand, actress Angeli Bayani was named Best Actress for her role in "Bagahe", while Noel Comia Jr. won Best Actor for "Kiko Boksingero".
