Rescue Efforts Continue in Emilia-Romagna as Deadly Floods Claim at Least 13 Lives

At least 13 people were confirmed dead in severe flooding in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, local media reported on May 18.

Rivers across the region burst their banks earlier in the week, causing thousands of people to evacuate, as half a year’s worth of rain fell in some areas.
