"The Rescue" celebrates wrapping up with underwater champagne

20 May – After six months of intense production, Dante Lam announced that his new movie, "The Rescue", has finally wrapped up filming.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the filmmaker recently celebrated the completion by diving 30 feet below underwater to open bottles of champagne with lead actor Eddie Peng.

Co-stars like Ian Wang, Xin Zhilei, Wang Yutian, and Xu Yang were also seen on location, and thanked the team for their hard work for the past half of the year.

The movie, which cost over HKD800 million to make, revolves around a rescue unit within the Chinese Coast Guard that specialises in airborne, marine, and mountain rescue.

The film is tentatively scheduled to be released on Lunar New Year 2020.
