‘Reply 1988’ Park Bo-gum Practices ‘Baduk’ in Real Life

[by Yoonjung Yi] It turned out that actor Park Bo-gum from tvN’s drama ‘Reply 1988’ has been practicing ‘baduk (Korean name for the board game Go)’.

Park Bo-gum plays the role of Tae-dong, the youngest ‘baduk’ world champion who has been winning the first place. In order to act out his role more realistic, he practiced the techniques of ‘baduk’ and studied the postures and facial expressions of professional ‘baduk’ players.

A professional baduk player said, “Although it is Park Bo-gum’s first time learning ‘baduk’, he is focused and fast-learning. In terms of body expressions, he is as good as the real ‘baduk’ players in field. I was very impressed by his sincerity and diligent attitude to learn.
