15 Nov – Asia Songbird Regine Velasquez truly believes that Miss Universe 2019 Catriona Gray should become a singer as soon as her reign ends next year.

As reported on Rappler, the singer, who got to hear Gray perform live at the Frontrow event held at the Philippine Arena last weekend - where she was also the guest performer - told the media that she mentioned as much to Gray when they spoke at the event.

"She said, "Yeah, I really want to and I want to learn more, I want to study." I said go, but the best teacher is your experience. Just keep singing," she said.

Velasquez also admitted that she was mesmerised by Gray's beauty, adding jokingly, "You know that feeling? It was like watching Miss Universe."

Gray has previously expressed her interest to pursue music in her previous interviews, having recorded a song "Were In This Together" for her charity, Young Focus. The beauty queen also has a certificate in music from the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
