Regine Velasquez postpones digital concert

10 Feb – It looks like Regine Velasquez will not be holding her concert on Valentine's Day as originally scheduled.

As reported on ABS-CBN, the news was recently confirmed by ABS-CBN Events and IME, stating that the "Freedom: Regine Velasquez-Alcasid Digital Concert" had to be postponed after the singer had to be quarantined after being exposed to someone tested positive for COVID-19.

"We apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused. All tickets sold with the original date will be honoured on the new "Freedom" concert schedule, which will be announced soon," the statement added.

ABS-CBN Events also stated that the safety of their artistes and staff is their priority, and that they are thankful for the understanding.

Velasquez also took to social media to express her sadness over the postponement, saying, "I've been preparing for this for weeks and so excited to finally be performing for all of you. But don't worry, it will definitely continue, so please bear with us. We will announce the concert date as soon as possible."

As for her health, the singer said that she and her family are doing fine.

The concert was originally scheduled to be livestreamed exclusively n KTX.ph on 14 February.
