Regine Velasquez is officially a Kapamilya
18 Oct – Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez is now officially a Kapamilya.
As reported on ABS-CBN, the singer recently received a red carpet welcome from the network as she arrived for her contract signing ceremony on 17 October, swarmed by a group of reporters, ABS-CBN staff and fans.
She could also be seen wiping up her tears as she entered the building, moved by the reception from the Kapamilya employees.
Among seen at the ceremony include ABS-CBN chairman Mark Lopez, and COO of Broadcast Cory Vidanes.
"I'm very happy, excited. Overwhelmed right now," said Velasquez, when asked about her feelings after signing the contract.
Rumours of Velasquez's network transfer sparked as early as August, with many saying that she will be following her husband Ogie Alcasid. Prior to signing the new contract, the singer was with GMA-7 for 20 years.
