Reese Witherspoon Reveals Legally Blonde 3 Is Being Considered

Reese Witherspoon has revealed that very early discussions have been held about ‘Legally Blonde 3′, admitting that she’d love to reprise the character of Elle Woods.

Speaking on a Facebook Live Video, the 40-year-old actress insisted that she’s asked about a third ‘Legally Blonde’ film on a regular basis, which has provoked them to discuss making it.

“A lot of people have asked me if we’re going to make another ‘Legally Blonde,’ and we’re thinking about it,” Witherspoon explained.

The success of the 2001 comedy, which was met with positive reviews and grossed $141 million from just an $18 million budget, led to the 2003 sequel ‘Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde’. Made for $45 million, the follow-up’s reviews were less stellar, but it still grossed $145 million.

Just last month, ‘Legally Blonde’ fans celebrated the fifteenth anniversary of the comedy’s release in their droves, while Witherspoon joined in the party with numerous online posts, too. Last year Reese Witherspoon also admitted that she’d love to see Elle Woods as a Supreme Court justice, too.

Seems like the ball is now firmly in Hollywood’s court to make the world red, white and blonde again.
