'Red Notice' car chase kiboshed after Dwayne Johnson 'too big to fit in a Porsche'
The crew of new Dwayne Johnson action movie Red Notice had some quick thinking to do, after their star 'got stuck' in a Porsche being used for a technical car chase scene.
The Rock revealed the awkward moment he realised he was too big for the performance motor, but only after it had arrived on the movie's Atlanta set.
“Aaaaand guess who’s too big to fit in yet another sports car and now we have to change the entire shot sequence around,” he said in a post to Instagram, which has thrown 'months of prep and costs buying and shipping this car over to the states' into jeopardy.

He then had a tricky exchange with the movie's director, Rawson Thurber, detailed in the post.
“In the end we showed our agility to think quick on our feet and found 'creative' ways to still get the shot,” he said.
But let the records show that The Rock does not fit in a Porsche.
Johnson suffered a similar embarrassment while shooting Fast & Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw, as his co-star Jason Statham revealed in 2019.
“We had to CG him into the McLaren,” explained Statham. “One: his arse was too big to get into the seat, and two: he gets very nauseous when we’re going rather fast. Because he’s more used to driving these big lumbering trucks, so anything over 30 miles per hour, he gets a little nauseous.
“He gets highly motion sick, so we had to CG The Rock into the McLaren. It’s a known fact on set, and now to the world.”
Red Notice appears to be pulling out all the stops in the production stage, and is having to 'think on its feet' in other areas too.

Last week, Johnson posted another update, showing how a considerably larger obstacle had to be overcome.
A planned shoot in Rome was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, meaning that they instead built a replica of the iconic landmark the Castel Sant'Angelo.
“When the pandemic shut our world down - we regrouped, re-strategized and decided the show must go on. So we built the museum ourselves. Every last incredible detail - inside and out,” he said.
“As producer, I’m extremely proud of our hungry and brilliant Production designer, Art directors, Construction teams. Set decorators.

“And ALL OF OUR CREW who accepted this daunting challenge during COVID of coming back to finish what we started. Hardest workers in the room who always finish the job.”
Shooting in Atlanta wrapped last week, according to an update from Thurber, with the movie's production now heading for Rome and Sardinia for its final week.
The movie finds The Rock as an FBI profiler working on a 'red notice', the highest level of alert designated by Interpol, as he tracks Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds, playing the world's greatest art thief and the world's greatest con man.
Originally set for a June 2020 release, a new release date is yet to be confirmed by Netflix.
