As one of Time‘s 100 most influential people of 2017, you know Viola Davis is a force to be reckoned with, both on and off screen. And clearly, her sartorial senses are a perfect reflection of her fierce and potent nature!

Viola stepped out at the 2017 Time 100 Gala in New York City last night in a truly exquisite ensemble, reminding us once again that she’s both acting and red carpet royalty. For the occasion, the Oscar-winning actress slipped into a royal purple Armani Prive gown. The one-shoulder wonder perfectly draped across the 51-year-old’s figure, and the jewel-tone color absolutely radiated confidence and charisma.

With a lengthy train, twisted neckline and column silhouette, this gown certainly edged into regal territory. As in, we could totally see Kate Middleton rocking the same number for an art gala or formal royal engagement. Right?!

Queen Viola opted to finish the look with some royal-worthy bling indeed, slipping on a few diamond encrusted bracelets and a seriously striking pair of drop emerald Buccalleti earrings. High-octane jewels befitting a high-octane performer!

Viola made history earlier this year after taking home her first Oscar and therefore becoming the first African-American actress to win the triple-crown glory of Oscar, Tony and Emmy awards (and that’s not including her SAG, Golden Globes or BAFTA nods, either). Ergo, her well-deserved spot on Time‘s list. She attended last night’s gala as an honoree and, gave a moving toast to the crowd.

“Everybody in this room, I’m sure at some point, has gone through something in their lives, and you survived it,” Davis said at the gala. “But not only did you survive it, you took that trauma, and that hurt, that revelation, or whatever it was, and you used it to connect, to give, to influence, to help, and that is the beauty and the purpose of what we are here on this Earth to do.”

Ahhh—seriously, Viola, could you be more perfect? We’re honored to have you as both a sartorial and life role model!
