Raymond Wong happy to receive hate for "Wonder Women"

19 Dec – TVB actor Raymond Wong admitted that he has been getting a lot of hate from viewers for his performance as the philandering husband Jin Hong in the TVB series, "Wonder Women".

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who received praise from Nancy Sit during a radio interview to promote the said series recently, shared that some have called him a bad man and even told him not to come back and ruin the blossoming relationship between Lan Fei (Miriam Yeung) and Ho Tin (Pakho Chau).

"Netizens also called me a cad and wanted to hit me," he added.

However, Raymond stated that he is no stranger to such response from viewers, having experienced similar situation when he starred in Miriam's romance film, "Love Undercover" more than a decade ago.

"I have no issue with it. It just proves that my portrayal was a success," he added.

On the other hand, Raymond stated that the plot will become much easier after this, and that he is looking forward to his rivalry with Pakho Chau in upcoming episodes.

Asked if he has issues with playing the baddie in the drama, the actor stated, "Being an actor, there is no such thing as big or small characters. The most important thing is to create the drama. Jin Hong's role is to create the drama and make the audience hate him. But they will sympathise with him later."

As to what his real life wife Kaka Mok thinks of the character, Raymond stated that she only told him that he is nothing like Jin Hong in real life.
