Ratings: ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Viewership Rises With Sean Spicer’s Elimination

ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” grew its overall audience last night with former White House press secretary Sean Spicer’s elimination, but Fox finished first in the key adults 18-49 demographic.

Fox was first in ratings with a 1.1 rating/4 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and third in total viewers with an average of 4.9 million, according to preliminary numbers. At 8 p.m., “9-1-1” earned a 1.3/5 and 6.5 million. “Prodigal Son” at 9 received a 0.8/3 and 3.4 million.

ABC and NBC tied for second in ratings, both with a 1.0/4. ABC was first in total viewers with 6.8 million, NBC was second with 6.3 million.

For ABC, “DWTS” from 8 to 10 averaged 1.0/5 and 7.2 million viewers. “The Good Doctor” at 10 got a 0.8/4 and 6 million viewers. Tuesday marked the first day of ABC’s plan to no longer report Live + Same Day TV ratings.

For NBC, “The Voice” from 8-10 landed a 1.2/5 and 7.5 million viewers. At 10, “Bluff City Law” managed a 0.5/2 and 3.7 million viewers.

CBS was fourth in ratings with a 0.6 and in viewers with 4.3 million, airing all reruns.

Telemundo was fifth in ratings with a 0.4/2 and in viewers with 1.4 million.

Univision was sixth in ratings with a 0.4/2 and in viewers with 1.3 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 739,000. “All American” at 8 had a 0.2/1 and 760,000 viewers. At 9, “Black Lightning” got a 0.2/1 and 718,000 viewers.
