20 Sep – FlipTop rapper Loonie (real name Marlon Peroramas) has recently been arrested in a buy-bust operation in Makati City.

As reported on ABS-CBN, the rapper and four others - identified as David Rizon, Ivan Agustin, Albert Alvarez, and the rapper's sister Idyll Liza Peroramas - were nabbed by the Makati police at a basement of a hotel in Poblacion at 8.45pm.

The police also seized a box containing 15 sachets of high-grade marijuana worth P100,000 and several mobile phones.

However, Loonie is now denying some of the allegations against him, saying that aside from the mobile phone, all the other things including the sachets do not belong to him.

The rapper stated that he was in the area to visit a kid with cancer.

"I came here straight from a radio interview," he said.

The five of them will be facing criminal charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
