Raja Ilya not bothered by speculations of her Marvel role

The actress speaks up regarding claims of her lying about being in a Marvel project

Raja Ilya is still actively doing acting jobs, despite being selective over incoming offers.

16 Sep – Actress Raja Ilya claims that she is not bothered by some news portals' speculations over her supposed false involvement in a Marvel project.

There have been accusations of the actress, whose real name is Raja Ramilah Begum Raja Mohammad, of creating her own publicity to remain relevant in the industry.

"I'm not affected by them saying that I am lying since I have already signed a contract with the production company. When the official announcement is made later, it's not me who will be ashamed, it's them.

"At the moment, I have decided to cease talking about my role in the film. I have even stopped talking about it to my own friends," she said to Cinema Online during the press conference for the 29th Malaysia Film Festival (FFM 29) that took place at the Park Royal Hotel, Kuala Lumpur recently.

Insisting that she had not done any plastic surgery to enhance her figure, the "Soulmate Hingga Jannah" actress explained that what she had instead was actually a surgery to remove a small growth in her stomach. She also said she is busy building up her body in the moment, in preparation for her role in the upcoming Marvel film.

The 32-year-old actress added that she is still actively participating in various activities such as hosting and singing.

"I am still acting, but I'm very selective and can only take on telefilm as it has short shooting period."

Despite having two films – "Soulmate Hingga Jannah" and "LuQman" – competing at FFM 29, Raja Ilya remains humble for her expectation in winning awards for the ceremony. She, however, did say that she would be very happy and grateful if her name managed to be in the Top 5 lists.
