Rainie Yang's new single is about challenges of long-distance love

20 Nov– Rainie Yang recently revealed that her new single, "Celebration Of Oneself" - a collaboration with singer-songwriter Cheer Chen is not about happiness, but the challenges that comes with a long-distance relationship.

As reported on Mingpao, the Taiwanese singer, who held a pre-order signing ceremony for her new album, "Delete Reset Grow", stated that she - of all people - understand the difficulties and loneliness of being in such a relationship as she is married to Chinese singer Li Ronghao, who is based on mainland China.

"There are 365 days a year, and 300 of it I spent alone on my own. You could say that we would meet on average of three to five days a month," she said.

Rainie admitted that there were times that she would feel so lonely even when surrounded by many friends because the person she wants to be with was not there with her.

"But I couldn't complain because I know he was also experiencing the same situation. Long-distance love needs a lot of self-adjustment. Support is not enough. You have to give your significant other a sense of security as well," she added.
