Rainie Yang enjoys collaboration with Cheer Chen
19 Nov – Taiwanese singer Rainie Yang recently admitted that she really enjoyed working with singer-songwriter Cheer Chen for the first time on her new single, "Celebration of Oneself".
As reported on Epoch Times, the singer, who attended a signing event of her new album, "Delete Reset Grow" in Ximending, revealed that she has always wanted to collaborate with Cheer, which is why she invited the singer to work with her on the new single.
"We met for the first time at a coffee shop and we talked about [the challenges of being in a long-distance relationship]. She has always been a tomboy and would never shed a tear easily. I didn't expect that Cheer was holding back tears while we were talking. She said, "You made me cry"," said Rainie.
The singer also expressed her gratitude towards Cheer for helping her with the song and enabled her to become a singer-songwriter herself.
"The new style of singing you hear in this single was invented by her. It was super amazing! I am very honoured to have this cooperation. Although she is known as a goddess, in reality, Cheer Chen is very approachable," she enthused.
Cheer also recently took to Instagram to express how much she enjoyed cooperating with Rainie, writing, "Working with Rainie, I saw her persistence, effort, and hard work. I thank her for her perfect interpretation of the song, and for trusting me in the production process."
