Rae Red's "Tenement 66" to have world premiere in Korea
5 Jul – Rae Red's psychological thriller "Tenement 66" is set to have its world premiere at the 25th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in South Korea.
The news was originally shared by the filmmaker on social media back in June, writing, "TENEMENT 66 will be one of the ten films in Competition (Bucheon's Choice) representing the Philippines at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival for its world premiere."
"Big thanks to [Dreamscape], sir [Deo Endrinal], [Bianca Balbuena], [Patti Lapus] and Epic Media for producing and to amazing writers [Jericho Aguado] and [Kenneth Dagatan]," she added.
The movie stars Francine Diaz as Lea, a troubled teen who - after getting out of jail for petty theft, moves to Tenement 66 with her older brother Tony and cousin Ron-ron, hoping to start a new life away from the people who influenced her to commit crimes. But she soon finds out that there are far more sinister figures at the tenement whose crimes are worse than they could have imagined.
It also stars Francis Magundayao and Noel Comia Jr.
The 25th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival will run from 8 to 21 July.
