Rachel Brosnahan's ribs have "fused together" due to the corsets she has to wear for her role on hit TV show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
The 29-year-old, who has won two Golden Globes, two Screen Actors Guild awards and an Emmy for her portrayal of groundbreaking stand-up comedienne Miriam 'Midge' Maisel, has revealed her restrictive costumes have resulted in a painful "injury".
"We talk so fast on the show that to get all the words out you can't really take very many breaths," she explained while on The Late Late Show with James Corden. "And I think I wasn't breathing a lot and I was a bit constrained and apparently some of my ribs are sort of fused together."
"Oh my goodness," fellow guest RuPaul exclaimed, and gasped as Brosnahan further shared her health woes.
And alarmingly, the costume problems are still affecting her breathing, as she added: "I can't take super deep breaths anymore."
But Brosnahan downplayed the health ailment, and called it a "Champagne problem."
"It's really fine guys," she laughed to the audience.
The actress isn't the first star to suffer serious side-effects from very tight costumes.
Oscar winner Emma Stone revealed her "organs shifted" after she wore corsets for 2018 period drama The Favourite, while Kim Kardashian said she was in a great deal of pain while in her custom-made Thierry Mugler gown at last year's Met Gala.
"I have never felt pain like that in my life," she confessed.
