Since Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan announced their decision to step down as senior members of the royal family, all eyes have been on the couple. Many fans have also wondered whether Harry's relationship with his grandmother, the queen, has been impacted by his decision.

According to royal biography, Finding Freedom, which was serialized in The Times, the queen has always made it very clear to Prince Harry that he is an important part of the royal family. The book reveals, via Town & Country, that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Harry had a private lunch together on March 1, when the prince returned to the United Kingdom to complete his final royal engagements.

Per the publication, the meeting was informal, with an aide revealing that there were "No titles" at the lunch, "Just granny and grandson." Most importantly, "the queen was still one of the most important women in [Prince Harry's] life," and as "they tucked into a roast lunch, the queen made it clear to Harry that she would always support him in whatever he decided to do."

Even though Prince Harry has since moved to Los Angeles, it would appear that the queen supports her grandson no matter what.
