Let that sink in for a second. Now, can you actually imagine getting paid to organize the parties held by the Royal Family at Buckingham Palace? For £27,000 annually, or $34,260 (depending on experience) and 37.5 hours, Monday through Friday, the Royal Household's Events Coordinator would put together a broad range of official, ceremonial events enjoyed by millions of people throughout the year.

According to the job listing, whoever fills the role will join a team dedicated to organizing "truly unique occasions, including Investitures, Garden Parties, and State occasions," assisting with planning of each event, working the events to ensure everything remains seamless, as well as providing daily support to the wider team, along other tasks.

In order to qualify, applicants should have:

  • Administrative experience

  • Knowledge of event planning

  • A passion for developing a career in event planning

  • Organized

  • An ability to multi-task

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Great attention to detail

  • Knowledge of the Offices of State, the Church, and the Military

Wondering about the benefits of the job? Well, aside from 33 vacation days and a 15 percent employer contribution pension scheme, you'll also be able to put that you worked for the Queen on your résumé...so that's, casual. It just might make up for the mediocre salary.
