We can't help but be impressed by the Queen's choice of Christmas gift for her one-year-old great grandson Archie.

Prince Harry, 36, recently revealed his grandmother gave Archie a waffle maker on 25 December, and his son was over the moon with the present - or rather, with the delicious breakfasts he's been eating ever since.

Speaking in a recent Late Late Show interview with his friend and wedding guest, James Corden, the royal said: "My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker. She sent us a waffle maker for Archie.

"So breakfast, Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix, in the waffle maker, flip it, out it comes, he loves it.

"Now I have waffles for breakfast, bit of yoghurt, bit of jam on top, I don't know if that's the right thing to do, berries, bit of honey, syrup.

"Archie wakes up in the morning and just goes 'waffle?'"

Corden replied that he couldn't "get his head around" the idea of the Queen ordering a waffle maker to be delivered to Santa Barbara, where Harry, his wife Meghan Markle and their son Archie now reside.

Although it is not known exactly which waffle maker the 94-year-old monarch purchased for Archie, we have found a selection of affordable kitchen appliances for those who are inspired by the Queen's gift and want to shake up their breakfast routine.
