Good news for those looking to satisfy their cravings for chewy ban mee: popular homegrown chain Qiu Lian Ban Mee has announced a line of instant noodle products.

The ready-to-cook fresh noodle packages are currently available only in the chilled food section of major Fairprice outlets, including Fairprice hypermarts and Fairprice Finest outlets, said the hawker food brand on Monday (3 September).

This is the first time that Qiu Lian Ban Mee, which operates numerous hawker stalls around Singapore, is releasing packaged products for supermarkets.

There are four products in the range, which come packaged with either soup base paste or a sauce. The noodle soup products come in two versions – either with ban mee (thick flat noodles) or you mee (thin noodles).

The other two versions are dry noodles or gan lao mee – special dark sauce dry ban mee and Asian spicy you mee.

Qiu Lian Ban Mee has also released a line of packaged instant noodles without soup base or sauces included. The four products in this line are ban mee, you mee, mee hoon kuay (hand-torn noodles) and dumpling skins.

These products are available at both Fairprice and Sheng Siong supermarkets.

In response to queries from Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore, Qiu Lian Ban Mee said it had no immediate plans to release these products in other supermarket chains, but hopes to collaborate with other major chains in the near future.
