Qin Hao is unhappy about letting hit-and-run perp escape
16 Nov – Chinese actor Qin Hao recently admitted that he decided to let a perpetrator of a hit-and-run go for the sake of wife, Annie Yi.
As reported on Epoch Times, on 12 November, the actor shared on Weibo that his car was hit by another vehicle while he was on his way to the airport and that the perpetrator got away after doing so.
After calling the traffic police, he found out that his car has to be detained for a period of time for further investigation.
Qin said that since he was on a rush to pick up his wife at the airport, he asked if he could just send his car to the station after the police captured the perpetrator, but received a "No" for an answer.
He was also told that the car will be further detained until the perpetrator's vehicle is found.
After finding out that there will be no legal repercussion towards the perpetrator according to law, but only towards him as a victim, Qin decided to give up his responsibility as a road user so that he could pick up Annie at the airport.
However, Qin admitted that he is still dissatisfied with the whole issue, saying that it's unfortunate that the perpetrator escaped and may do the same thing to others as well.
On the other hand, fans who read the post praised the actor for his love towards his wife.
