Qi Qi launches jewellery brand, QQM
23 May - Hong Kong supermodel Qi Qi has recently launched her new jewellery brand, QQM, a collaboration between her and gem expert Michael Shum.
As reported on Mingpao, the supermodel, who held the event at the Stalk Room in Hong Kong, shared that 80 percent of the jewellery sold by QQM will be her own design, inspired by her time living in Vienna.
"Being a model, I have worn countless jewelleries. But they were too expensive, and can only be a part of a collection. So I decided that I should produce my own with a reasonable price so that you can wear them every day," she said.
The supermodel, who has known Michael for many years, spent five years developing the brand with him.
"As a mother, I hope that I would have some valuable things for my daughter. So this is my way of trying to create a perfect product," she added.
However, as for now, QQM's product will only be sold online.
When asked if her husband, actor Simon Yam is attending the launch, Qi Qi responded that the actor has been too busy with his own work, but that he did leave a congratulatory message and sent her flowers.
