Pub in Manchester launches 40-inch pizza eating challenge but do you have what it takes?
We’ve all been guilty of overindulging on a Saturday night with nothing but Netflix and a cheeky takeaway on the agenda. But would you be willing to tackle a 40-inch pizza for the sake of saving a few pennies?
One pub in Wilmslow near Manchester is serving up every foodie’s ultimate challenge.
Mwah Pizza at The Carters Arms is home to the largest wood-fired pizza in the country and if you can demolish the restaurant’s now-famous menu staple then you’ll get your money back – alongside a snap of the wall of fame too of course.
The Margherita comes with two toppings and normally weighs in at £70 but for those interested in the challenge, it’ll cost you a reduced £50.
Two people are allowed to take on the giant pizza but each team is only given 30 minutes to lick the plate clean. Even the restaurant’s Facebook page warns: “Attempt at your own risk”.
For those of you who think you can beat it, you can now book a place in the competition to which we can only say good luck.
Though it’s not the first time foodies have been encouraged to try belly-busting foods. Aldi recently announced the launch of foot-long pigs in blankets for Christmas after Subway introduced customers to a limited edition six-foot sandwich aptly dubbed the ‘Giant Sub’.
