10 Feb – TVB producer Mui Siu Ching recently surprised everybody by announcing that she will be retiring from her job.
As reported on HK01, the producer shared the bad news at the press conference of her new series, "Forensic Heroes IV", saying that she wants to focus on her health instead after previously experienced cerebrovascular embolism on the left side of her brain.
Saying what she would miss most, Mui smiled and responded, "My co-workers, and the work itself. Seeing the final product after months and months of hard work."
"I will also miss reading reviews and anticipating viewership ratings when a drama finally airs," she added.
Although she loves all of her previous works, Mui admitted that she is most proud of her 2009 Tang Dynasty drama, "Beyond the Realm of Conscience", starring Charmaine Sheh and Tavia Yeung.
"Honestly, I love each and every one of them. I have worked hard in making them," she added.
Mui, who started on Redifussion back in the early '80s, has produced many dramas for ATV and TVB, including "The Breaking Point", "Colourful Life", and "Fathers and Sons".
