Priyanka Chopra has revealed that she was ‘scammed’ into spilling details on her possible involvement in the royal wedding.

On Wednesday, the actress appeared on ‘The Tonight Show’ and addressed a recent interview where she seemingly confirmed that she would attend close friend Meghan Markle‘s wedding.

The ‘Quantico’ actress told Jimmy Fallon: “While I was doing promo for that, I got scammed into it, because everyone’s like, ‘Do you know what you’re wearing for the next month? You have all these events.’ And I was like, ‘I’m trying to figure it out’. So I sort have, may have, gotten a little scammed.”

And when Fallon pushed for an answer on whether or not she will be attending the May 19 nuptials, Chopra remained tight-lipped.

“More than anything, attending or not, I’m just really happy for a friend of mine. Like, it’s a big day, for your friend, and you should be happy about it,” the 35-year-old said.

How did Meghan and Priyanka meet?

Chopra revealed to Fallon that their friendship kick-started several years ago when they first met at Elle magazine’s Women in Television dinner.

“Meghan and I sort of just got on really well,” Chopra revealed. “And we were both filming in Canada at the same time. And we just met, and chatted.”

The actress was shooting the first season of ABC thriller, ‘Quantico’, in Montreal while Meghan played Rachel Zane in cult drama, ‘Suits’, over in Toronto.

And their close relationship means that it is highly likely that the actress will attend the royal wedding.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Chopra was asked about whether or not she’ll wear a fascinator to a ‘high profile British wedding’ to which she replied: “In a hypothetical British wedding that I may or may not be going to? I don’t know, I haven’t thought about it… but yeah, maybe I would. Bring it back.”

The soon-to-be newlyweds will tie the knot on May 19 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor and have invited 600 guests to attend the nuptials.
