Princess Eugenie has broken the silence of Beatrice’s immediate family as she posted a series of photos in tribute of her big sister to mark her wedding day.

Beatrice, 31, married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 37, in a secret ceremony on Friday, attended by close family and the Queen.

Despite message of congratulations from Prince Charles and Camilla, as well as Prince William and Kate, there were no messages yet from the York family.

On Monday afternoon, Eugenie, 30, posted a selection of the official photographs, and wrote a sweet message to her sister.

She wrote: “Couldn't Bea happier (get it) 🐝... ⁣

“What a complete joy and privilege to watch you, my beautiful big sister, walk down the aisle to dear Edo. I am so proud of you and I'm so excited to support you in the next chapter of your life. We are going to have so much fun together. ⁣

“Happy wedding day to you both xxxx”

Eugenie and Beatrice are close as sisters, and while they don’t carry out official royal duties, they do represent charities together, such as the Teenage Cancer Trust.

They also regularly attend Royal Family events, like Trooping the Colour and Royal Ascot.

Eugenie was the one to take the engagement photos of Beatrice and Mozzi, and shared the news on her Instagram page in September.

It’s thought Beatrice moved into the Royal Lodge, the York family home in Windsor, to ensure her father, Prince Andrew, could walk her down the aisle.

Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank had also been living there during the lockdown.

Since the big day on Friday, Sarah Ferguson, Beatrice and Eugenie’s mother, has posted about her daily storytime, but has not shared a message for her daughter’s wedding.

She did shared a heartfelt post on 29 May, which was the original day Beatrice and Mozzi had planned to marry.

Andrew’s social media accounts have not been used since he stood back from public duties in November.
