Prince's Final Resting Place To Be Kept Secret

Following Prince’s private cremation and memorial yesterday, it has been reported that the singing legend’s final resting place will be kept completely secret.

The ‘Purple Rain’ star was tragically found dead in an elevator at his Paisley Park estate on Thursday and his close friends and families remembered him in a private service yesterday, with a public “musical celebration” of his life confirmed for a later date.

However, his publicist Yvette Noel-Schure was keen to let fans know that some details will always remain private to Prince’s family, saying in a statement: “A few hours ago, Prince was celebrated by a small group of his most beloved family, friends and his musicians, in a private, beautiful ceremony to say a loving goodbye.

"Prince’s remains have been cremated and their final storage will remain private.

"We ask for your blessings and prayers of comfort for his family and close friends at this time. The cause of death remains unknown and it will be at least four weeks before we receive the results of the autopsy.

“ An announcement will be made at a future date for a musical celebration.”

It was previously reported that Prince had already planned his funeral, hoping to have a “no drama” service and his friends and family obliged, celebrating his life instead of making the affair a sad occasion.

A source shared: “It was actually a party. People danced and ate.”

However, Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson understandably struggled with the day, with the insider adding to The Mirror: “Tyka was adamant she didn’t wanted to leave him.

"Although in the past they often endured a fraught relationship in recent years and right now she has been like a rock throughout these dark days. As his only full blood relative alive Prince always looked out for Tyka and now she is doing all she can for him.”

It is thought that Tyka could end up inheriting Prince’s $800million estate in the absence of a will stating otherwise.
