Prince William is a picture of normality while play-wrestling with his children in new photo

Earlier today, royal fans were left delighted by two images released to mark Prince William’s 38th birthday as well as Father’s Day.

Now, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shared a bonus picture of the second-in-line to the throne play-wrestling with their three children.

Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, five, and Prince Louis, two, can be seen giggling while climbing on top of their dad in the garden of their Norfolk country home, Anmer Hall.

The funny, candid snap - unveiled on Instagram - has received more than 367,000 ‘likes’ and over 3,000 comments.

One person wrote: “Awwww these pics!”

Another commented: “The sweetest family.”

A third shared: “Love this! What a great dad!”

And a fourth added: “Soooo cute! What a role model Prince William is.”

The hilarious image was taken by Kate Middleton - who was also behind a series of other family pictures released today to mark the special occasion.

Another Instagram post shared by the Cambridges saw the duke pose on a swing with his three children.

It has received more than 2m ‘likes’ and over 24,000 comments.

Many social media users also revealed their admiration for Charlotte’s denim playsuit, which she wore with a striped T-Shirt.

There were also several who drew attention to the likeness between her brothers, who they suggested looked “like twins”.

The candid snaps were all taken earlier this month.

Since the middle of March, the family have remained at their Norfolk home - which is near the Queen’s Sandringham home.

Having conducted a string of virtual engagements via video call, this week the duke and duchess returned to in-person engagements.

William joked about being ready to get back to the pub during a visit to a bakery in King’s Lynn.

Speaking about what he had been getting up to in lockdown, the second-in-line to the throne said: “I’ve done a little bit of baking.

“The children have been attacking the kitchen and it’s just been an explosion of flour and chocolate everywhere.

“Catherine’s been doing quite a bit of baking.”
