How a ride on public transport resulted in a smack round the head for Prince Harry

With security for the royal family of paramount importance, key members are generally chauffeured from place-to-place in blacked-out cars and rarely step out in public.

However, Princess Diana was known to take her sons Prince William and Harry on London Underground tubes and buses as children.

Princess Diana’s former bodyguard, Ken Wharfe, was one man that looked over the three royals during their many excursions on public transport.

During episode six of Yahoo UK’s ‘The Royal Box’, Wharfe tells story of one memorable occasion, that left Harry with not only a strong lesson in cultural diversity, but a clip round the ear.
