Prince William Is Back From Summer Vacation

Prince William is back from his summer vacation! In his first public appearance since attending the Wimbledon men's finals back in July, the Prince of Wales was in Bournemouth today in support of his campaign to end homelessness.

He began his day at a Pret A Manger in Bournemouth, where he joined workers behind the counter—wearing his own nametag, which read "William." He learned how to make a Pret coffee, a sandwich, and chatted with the staff at the store.

Per Kensington Palace, while there, he heard "about the work being carried out by The Pret Foundation to help break the cycle of homelessness. He will also discuss the Foundation’s commitment to expanding their Rising Stars programme through their role as a Homewards Activator, before meeting a small group of employees who have been supported through the programme."

Outside the coffee shop, he met with members of the public and posed for numerous selfies with the crowd.

Following his stop at Pret, he went to visit Premier League club Bournemouth AFC. He was there, the Palace shared, to learn about the "club"'s work within the community to support those at risk of homelessness, and their commitment to extend this work over the next five years as part of the Homewards programme in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole."

Prince William's outings in Bournemouth today imply he will likely not be in Balmoral tomorrow with his father, King Charles, for the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's passing. Charles will reportedly spend the day in "quiet reflection" at Balmoral to mark the anniversary of his mother's death and his accession.
