Flashing a gap-toothed smile to the camera, Prince George is growing up fast in new photographs released to mark his seventh birthday.

Taken by his mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, earlier this month, George shows his blond locks, inherited from his father, as he grins into the camera.

George was born on 22 July 2013, at the Lindo Wing in St Mary’s Paddington, and weighed 8lb 6oz.

Kate and William stepped out with him a day after his birth, and went on to announce his full name, George Alexander Louis.

He has been homeschooled during lockdown alongside his sister Charlotte, at their home in Anmer Hall, where it is thought these two new images were taken.

In one image, George’s hair is swept neatly to one side, as he smiles into the camera. He is wearing a dark green polo shirt and standing against a green back drop.

In a second, George’s hair looks blown about by the wind, and he stands at an angle, with what looks like a field and a path behind him. He sports a camouflage t-shirt, perhaps inspired by his uncle’s military service.

Kate, 38, has fostered a love of the outdoors in her children, and talks about the importance of getting outside with them, for long, often muddy, walks.

He may be catching her gardening bug too, with Kate revealing he enjoyed growing tomatoes and sunflowers, even if his was smaller than his brother’s, as they spent time in Norfolk.

He’s been pictured a number of times in lockdown, many of which have been thanks to the ongoing photographic work of his mother.

She filmed him with his sister and their younger brother Louis, clapping for carers in the first week of the campaign.

And he appeared with all them during the BBC’s Big Night In.

Later, Kate released a picture of George with Charlotte and their father Prince William, volunteering near their home on the Sandringham Estate.

And George featured in birthday pictures taken for Prince William’s 38th, which also fell on Father’s Day.
