Presley Gerber has responded to backlash over his new face tattoo.

The 20-year-old model, the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, posted a video on Instagram last week which showed him getting the word "MISUNDERSTOOD" tattooed across his right cheekbone by New York-based tattoo artist Jonathan 'JonBoy' Valena.

The fresh ink didn't go down well many of Presley's followers, who questioned why he would "ruin" his face with the design. One user wrote, "Why would you ruin your pretty face like that? Isn't THAT the money maker?"

Now, Presley has addressed the criticism in an Instagram Live video, in which he made it clear that he had no regrets over his new tattoo.

"If I thought this was going to ruin my face or I didn't want this, I wouldn't have done it. I think that's a pretty obvious thing," he declared, according to New York Post's Page Six. "It says misunderstood, because that's how I felt my entire life."

He reportedly grew increasingly upset about the negative comments and said, "Look at these f**king haters out here... F**k you if you don't like it."

His girlfriend, model Cameron Rorrison, also interjected, "His parents love it, by the way."

Presley, who has starred in campaigns for the likes of HUGO, Calvin Klein, and Topshop, already has quite an extensive tattoo collection. He has floral artwork on the backs of both hands, words written across his fingers and multiple small designs on his neck, as well as his sister Kaia Gerber's name on his left arm.

In January, he got the word "HAHA" written across his fingers, with one letter on each digit of his left hand, when he visited tattoo artist Evan Kim with Kaia.
